Rabun County Chamber Hoe Down at The Dillard House | Photo Booth

One of the events I look forward to every year is the Rabun County Chamber of Commerce Hoe Down & Awards Dinner. This year's event was every bit as much fun as the first, and I was honored to bring Snap Happy Booth back for my second year.

The evening celebrates the people and businesses that make Rabun County such a special place to live and work. Throughout the night, local businesses were recognized for their accomplishments, including awards for outstanding local businesses and organizations committed to environmentally friendly practices. It's always inspiring to see so many entrepreneurs and community leaders gathered together to celebrate each other's success.

A Western Theme That Everyone Embraced

This year's Western theme was a huge hit.

Cowboy hats, boots, denim, bandanas, and plenty of creative outfits made for incredible photo opportunities. The rustic Western backdrop along with themed props that fit the evening perfectly. Guests wasted no time jumping into the booth and showing off their personalities.

One of the highlights of the night was that I was asked to choose the winners for Best Cowgirl, Best Cowboy, and Best Dressed Couple. Since I had the chance to see nearly every guest stop by the booth, I had a front-row seat to all of the creativity and friendly competition. It definitely wasn't an easy decision!

More Than Just Pictures

One of my favorite parts of every event is watching people relax in front of the camera.

Co-workers who spend every day together suddenly become goofy. Community leaders let their personalities shine. Friends gather for one more photo before heading home. Those are the moments that people remember long after the event is over.

A Beautiful Wedding Celebration at Chota Falls

Some weddings just have a special energy from the moment guests arrive, and this recent celebration at Chota Falls in Clayton, Georgia was one of them.

Nestled in the North Georgia mountains, Chota Falls is easily one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the region. Between the stunning waterfall, mountain views, and elegant event spaces, it provides an unforgettable backdrop for couples and their guests.

For this wedding, Snap Happy Booth provided a traditional photo booth experience with printed photo strips. While digital sharing is always popular, there is still something special about holding a printed photo in your hand before the night is over. Guests loved stepping into the booth, grabbing props, and creating keepsakes throughout the evening.

One of my favorite details from this wedding was the bride's thoughtful gift for her guests. She provided beautiful acrylic frames that perfectly fit the photo strips. Guests could immediately place their photos into the frames and take home a personalized keepsake from the celebration. It was a simple idea that added an extra touch of meaning to every photo.

The photo booth stayed busy all night long. Knowing this would be a large crowd, I brought an assistant to help keep everything running smoothly. Having an extra set of hands allowed us to keep the line moving, assist guests with props, replenish supplies, and make sure everyone had a great experience. It was a fast-paced evening, but those are often the most fun events.

As always, it was great to see guests of all ages jump in front of the camera. From sweet couples' photos to groups of friends showing off their personalities, the booth captured the laughter and energy that make wedding receptions so memorable.
